Prof.Dr. Somkit Lertpaithoon, appointed as an Independent Director of EGCO in April 2024, holds a Bachelor of Law from Thammasat University; a Barrister-at-Law from the Thai Bar Association; and both a Diplôme d'Études Approfondies and a Doctorate in Public Law (Droit Public Interne) from the University of Paris II, France. He has completed several executive programs, including the Executive Program in Energy Literacy for a Sustainable Future, the Director Accreditation Program, and Corporate Governance for Executives.
With over 18 years as a law professor at Thammasat University, he has also served in key roles such as Independent Director and Chairman of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee at PTT Global Chemical PCL, and as an Independent Expert on the Governing Board of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).
