Dr. Prasert Sinsukprasert was appointed Chairman of the Board of Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO Group) in 2024. He currently also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy.
Dr. Prasert holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, a Master's degree in Energy Conversion, Power, and Transmission from George Washington University, and a Doctorate in Energy Management and Policy from the University of Pennsylvania. He has also completed several prestigious executive training programs, including the Senior Executive Program, the Director Certification Program, and the Senior Executive Fellows Program.
As Chairman, Dr. Prasert brings to EGCO Group a wealth of knowledge and expertise from his leadership roles in the public sector and energy and utility industry. His strong capabilities in leadership, strategic planning, management, smart technologies, and corporate governance have played a key role in driving EGCO Group toward achieving its vision, mission, and corporate strategies.
