EGCO Group certified as a member of the Thai Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption (CAC) for the third consecutive time

Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group was certified as a member of the Thai Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption (CAC) for the third consecutive time, reinforcing the company’s commitment to strong corporate governance and a robust anti-corruption policy across the organization. The company has also encouraged its business partners, representatives, and intermediaries, to fully understand and comply with the anti-fraud and anti-corruption policy.

Ms. Salil Tirawat, EGCO Group’s Executive Vice President – Corporate Management, said that “EGCO Group has operated its power and energy-related businesses under the principles of good corporate governance for over 33 years, emphasizing transparency, fairness, and a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption. In 2024, EGCO Group revised the Anti-Corruption Policy by expanding its scope to cover anti-fraud. This revision aims to encourage and support business partners as well as the company’s representative and intermediaries acting on behalf of the EGCO Group, to fully understand and comply with the anti-fraud and anti-corruption policy. In addition, EGCO Group continues to promote, communicate, train, and organize various activities related to good corporate governance for its directors, executives, employees of all levels, as well as business partners.”

EGCO Group firstly received CAC certification in 2015. Each certification remains valid for three years. The company subsequently renewed its certification in 2019, again in 2022, and most recently in 2025. Furthermore, EGCO Group has continued to encourage its subsidiaries to join the CAC initiative. Currently, two subsidiaries are CAC-certified members: Khanom Electricity Generating Company Limited has been re-certified as a CAC member for the second consecutive time. Also, EGCO Engineering & Service Company Limited (ESCO) is in the process of obtaining CAC membership certification for the third time in 2025.

The CAC was established in 2010 to be a platform for companies in Thailand to tackle corruption on a voluntary basis through collective action. 125 companies currently have joined the initiative, with 461,693 employees participating as part of its extended network.

Ms. Salil Tirawat, EGCO Group’s Executive Vice President – Corporate Management, receives the CAC certification from Mr. Kulvech Janvatanavit, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD), at the CAC Certification Ceremony 1/2025 under the theme “Business Integrity in Action: Transparency Begins with a Whistleblowing Culture.” The event was recently held at Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, Bangkok.
