REPORTS DETAILS OF KEGCO'S FINANCING FOR POWER PLANT

In reference to Electricity Generating Plc (EGCOMP)'s letter submitted earlier about the transferal ceremony of Kanom power plant from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) to Kanom Electricity Generating Plc (KEGCO), a EGCOMP's wholly owned subsidiary, held on June 19, 1996, the company reported more details about source of fund to finance a purchase of said plant as follows: - EGCOMP's invested a Bt4,750 million more in Kanom Electricity Generating Co.,Ltd. - A debt financing by Kanom as listed below: 1. Amortizing Secured Debenture with 15-year maturity worth Bt7,500 million 2. USD Syndicated Loan with 12-year term worth US$265 million 3. VAT Loan with 6-month term worth Bt1,136 million 4. Working Capital Facility with 15-year term worth Bt225 million
