(EGCOMP) reported a summary of its audited annual financial statements as follows: (In Thousand Baht) For Year Ended December 31 1996 1995 EGCOMP/EGCOMP and subsidiaries Net profit 1,550,978 940,267 EPS (Baht) 3.12 2.30 EGCOMP gained net profit higher from previous year by Bt610.71 million or 64.95% because on June 19, 1996 Kanom Electricity Generating Co., Ltd., its subsidiary, had possessed electricity generating plant, formerly from owned byElectricity Generating Authority of Thailand(EGAT) and dealt to trade with EGAT as well. So, the company could make larger amount of profit.
