INCREASING REGISTERED CAPITAL OF AMATA-EGCO POWER

No. EGCO 310/289 Date: July 13, 1998 Attn:The President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject:Increasing registered capital of Amata-EGCO Power Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP) would like to inform that Amata-EGCO Power Limited in which EGCO Joint Ventures & Development Company Limited , a subsidiary company of EGCOMP, holds 29.7% stake increased the registered capital in the amount of Baht 500 million in order to maintain D/E Ratio of Amata-EGCO Power's project finance at 3:1. Now the registered capital of Amata-EGCO Power is Baht 1,500 million. EGCO Joint Ventures & Development Company Limited has already paid Baht 103,950,000 which is 70% of the increased capital.
