THE APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTORS

No. EGCO 310/484 Date : October 26, 1998 Attn : The President of The Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject : The appointment of new Directors Referred to our letter dated 29 September 1998 stated that Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP)'s Board of Directors at its meeting No. 12/1998 held on September 28, 1998 passed the resolutions to appoint 2 new directors : Mr. Khien Vongsuriya and Mr. Boonchoo Direk sathapon effective from October 1, 1998, According to Article 20 of the Company's Article of Association and Section 75 of the Public Company ACT B.E. 2535, the Board of Directors shall elect a person who has the qualifications as the substitue director at the next meeting of the Board of Directors. In order to be consistent with such acts aforesaid, EGCOMP's Board of Directors at its meeting No.13/1998 held on October 26, 1998 passed the resolutions to appoint 2 new directors : Mr. Khien Vongsuriya and Mr. Boonchoo Direksathapon effective from October 26, 1998.
