SIGNING THE CONTRACT FOR ERECTION OF HRSG

No. EGCO 310/47 Date: February 1, 1999 Attn: The President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject: Signing the Contract for Erection of HRSG Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP) would like to inform that Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and the Joint Venture between EGCO Engineering & Service Company Limited, 99.99% owned subsidiary of EGCOMP,and Italthai Engineering Company Limited signed the Contract for Erection of Heat Recovery Steam Generator Block 1 (HRSG 1A & 1B) for Ratchaburi Thermal Power Plant Project in the amount of Baht 39 million on February 1, 1999. The proportion between EGCO Engineering & Service Company Limited and Italthai Engineering Company Limited is 99% and 1%. The above mentioned transaction is the connected transaction from which shall be exempted in accordance with section 8(1) of the Notification of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Re: Rules and Procedures and Disclosure of Connected Transactions of Listed Companies dated February 17, 1993.
