CLARIFICATION ON 1999 OPERATING PROFIT

No. EGCO 310IR/001 January 31, 2000 The Stock Exchange of Thailand Attn: The President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject: Clarification on 1999 Operating Profit According to the Manager newspaper dated January 31, 2000, it was mentioned that EGCOMP has expected to gain an operating profit of 2.9 to 3.0 billion Baht for the fiscal 1999. We would like to inform SET that the mentioned figures in that newspaper is thought that it might be only the estimated figures based on our profit of the first three quarter of 1999. As a matter of fact, at present, our financial statements are still being reviewed and audited by our auditor. We expect to submit the audited financial statements to SET within February 15, 2000.
