No. EGCO 310/226 Date : May 22, 2001 Attn : President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject: The resignation of director Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP) would like to inform the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) that in accordance with the principle of Good Corporate Governance, Mr. Chaiwat Wongwattanasan, Director of EGCOMP's Board of Directors who is EGAT's representative, resigned his directorship, effecitve on May 19, 2001 due to the fact that he duly retired by rotation from EGAT's Board of Directors.
