EGCOMP'S INCREASED CAPITAL UTILIZATION REPORT AS AT DEC 2002

No. EGCO 350/008 Date : January 14, 2003 Attn : President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject : EGCOMP's increased capital utilization report as at December 2002 Reference is made to our letter No. 410/337 dated July 30, 2001, regarding the increased paid up capital of Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP) as at June 30, 2001 has been used up. EGCOMP would like to inform the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) that EGCOMP has received the increased capital from the ordinary shares offered to the employees as at June 17,2002 in the amount of Bt. 15,555,000 and the balance of the proceeds has been used for investment in EGCO Green Energy Co., Ltd, Thai LNG Power Corporation Limited and TLP Cogeneration Company Limited in accordance with objectives of EGCOMP's increased capital utilization as stated to SET.
