Signing on Power Purchase Agreement with EGAT and EDL

No EGCO 110/488 Date: November 10, 2003 Attn: President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject: Signing on Power Purchase Agreement with EGAT and EDL Referring to the report of the Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP) to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) on July 18, 2003, EDF International (EDFI) would withdraw from Nam Theun 2 Power Company Limited (NTPC), of which its 25% stake is held by Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP). EGCOMP would like to inform SET that EDFI now confirmed its investment in NTPC shall remain to hold 35% stake in NTPC. In addition, on November 8, 2003, NTPC entered into two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), details of which are as follows: 1. PPA between NTPC and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) - Contracted Capacity: 995 MW - Term of the Agreement: commencing on the signing date and continuing in effect for 25 years from the commercial operation date - Commercial Operation Date: the second half of year 2009 2.
