Signing on Power Purchase Agreement between GPG & EGAT

No. EGCO 110/553 Date: October 29, 2004 Attn: President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject: Signing on Power Purchase Agreement between GPG & EGAT Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP) would like to inform the Stock Exchange of Thailand that the 25-year Power Purchase Agreement between Gulf Power Generation Co., Ltd.(GPG) and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) was signed on October 28, 2004. Gulf Electric Public Company Limited (GEC), which EGCOMP, Electric Power Development Company Limited and Mit-Power (Thailand) limited hold 50 percent, 49 percent and 1 percent of shares respectively, holds 99.99 percent of shares in GPG. GPG will operate the combined cycle power plants using gas as fuel with the installed capacity of 1,468 megawatts, located in Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province. The commercial operating dates (COD) for unit 1 and unit 2 with the capacity of 734 megawatts each are scheduled on March 1, 2007 and March 1, 2008 respectively.
