Mr. Tawatchai Sumranwanich, President of Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group said that the Khanom power plant, located in Khanom district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, has responded to the directive policy issued by the National Control Center of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT’s NCC) by generating electricity at full capacity, totaling 930 megawatts. This measure aims to support the reliability of the southern power system during the severe flood situation and to compensate for the temporary shutdown of other power plants in the region affected by flooding.

He added that EGCO Group is coordinating with relevant agencies to help alleviate the hardships faced by those affected by the flooding. The company also extends its primary help and moral support to local residents and all personnel working to provide assistance, hoping they remain safe throughout this challenging situation.
