EGCO Group recognized with prestigious “Sustainability Disclosure Award 2025” for 7th Consecutive Year

Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group recently received the 2025 Sustainability Disclosure Award from the Thaipat Institute, marking the seventh consecutive year it has earned this prestigious recognition. The award honors organizations that provide comprehensive disclosure of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) information across economic, social, and environmental dimensions, supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goal 12.6. Ms. Salil Tirawat, Executive Vice President - Corporate Management of EGCO Group, represented the company in receiving the award from Mr. Woranat Piantham, Director of the Thaipat Institute, at the recent Sustainability Disclosure Award ceremony held at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center.

Ms. Salil Tirawat, Executive Vice President - Corporate Management of EGCO Group, said, “For over 33 years, EGCO Group has been operating our power and energy-related businesses with a strong commitment to the sustainability development framework. Sustainability is deeply integrated into our operations, with a focus on transforming the entire organization into a low-carbon enterprise and supporting biodiversity improvement across all seven countries where we operate in the Asia Pacific and the United States. At the same time, we are preserving and rehabilitating major watershed forests in Thailand through the Thai Conservation of Forest Foundation. We are also committed to transparently and regularly disclosing sustainability information to all stakeholders. We share this information through our official channels, including the One Report, Sustainability Report, Website, and Facebook, enabling stakeholders to effectively monitor and assess the progress of our sustainability initiatives.”

The Sustainability Disclosure Award presentation ceremony is organized annually by the Thaipat Institute. Its main objectives are to promote and recognize sustainability disclosure by encouraging organizations to provide ESG information to all stakeholders and to align with SDG 12.6: “Encourage companies to adopt sustainable practices and sustainability reporting.” In 2025, 163 members of the Sustainability Development Community (SDC) were recognized: 64 companies received the Sustainability Disclosure Award, 67 received the Sustainability Disclosure Recognition, and 32 received the Sustainability Disclosure Acknowledgement.
