clarifies report
Electricity Generating Plc (EGCOMP), in a clarification to the SET,
said that the company's published profit figures have not yet been audited
by the account auditor and thus the figures are not final.
In addition, EGCOMP said that the power plant joint investment project
in Lao is under feasibility study and there is no further development of
the project aside from those that had previously been reported to the SET.
The published news stated that in the first quarter of this year the
company earned more than Bt200 million profit, said EGCOMP. The report
also said that the company, Ngarn Thawee Peenong Co and the Laotian
government jointly invested to set up Thai-Loa Lignite Co that will
invest in establishing and operating a lignite-powered plant.
