REPORTS CONTRACT SIGNING OF SUBSIDIARIES

Khanom Electricity Generating Co., Ltd. (KEGCO), a subsidiary of Electricity Generating Plc (EGCOMP), will sign an asset power agreement (APA), power purchase agreement (PPA) and major maintenance agreement (MMA) with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) at 2.30 pm. on May 14, 1996. - APA is the purchase contract of Khanom power plant no.1 to 3 between EGAT and KEGCO worth Bt17,483 million. - PPA is the contract under which EGAT will purchase power from KEGCO at the maximum generating capacity of the power plant (not more than 824 megawatts) for the period of 15 years, 20 years, and 20 years for the power plant 1, 2 and 3 respectively. - MMA is the contract under which EGAT will provide maintenance seice for the Khanom power plant for the period of six years after the contract is effective.
