INCREASES ITS CAPITAL IN WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY

Electricity Generating Plc (EGCOMP) reports that Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) will transfer Kanom Electricity Generating Co.,Ltd to EGCOMP. The transfer ceremony will be held on June 19, 1996, at 10.00 am, at EGAT's conference room. Kanom Electricity Generating Co.,Ltd., has 2 power plants and 1 joint power plant which have a total generating capacity of 824 meggawatts. It worth Bt17,483 million. EGCOMP increased its investment in this subsidiary from Bt100 million to Bt4,850 million and has registered the increased capital with Ministry of Commerce since June 17, 1996.
