REPORTS ON RESULT OF 1ST EXERCISE SESSION

Electric Generating Plc (EGCOMP) informed the outcome of exercise session held on on April 17, 1997, number of warrant holders had exercised their rights to subscribe ordinary shares equivalent to 1,233,800 units. EGCOMP would have those shares listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand henceforward. EGCOMP recently issued 1,327,100 warrants to subscribe ordinary shares offered to the employees of EGCOMP and subsidiaries with 5 years maturity. The exercise ratio is equal to 1:1 (warrant:common share) at the price of Bt30 apiece and the exercise sessions are available twice on April 17, 1997 and February 27, 1998.
