No. EGCO 310/311 Date: July 28, 1998 Attn: The President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject: Signing Memorandum Of Understanding Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP) would like to inform that EGCO Mining Company Limited, 70% owned subsidiary of EGCOMP, will sign Memorandum Of Understanding as a first step to establish Joint Cooperation with PT. Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (Persero), a Stated Owned coal mining company of the Republic of Indonesia on July 29, 1998. The primary purpose of Joint Cooperation is to export Indonesian coal from PT.
