Form 57 (Y2K) Report of the preparation to handle the Year 2000 Problem The Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO) , a holding company, holds 99.99% stake in both the Rayong Electricity Generating Company Limited and the Khanom Electricity Generating Company Limited which generate and supply electricity to The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) as well as holds shares in other subsidiaries and affiliated companies which do electricity related business and other business. EGCO would like to issue the preparation to handle the Year 2000 problem report No.6 as of September 30th , 1999 The preparation to handle the Year 2000 problem 1. The shift of steps to solve the Year 2000 problem No change the plan schedule. The Y2K budget is adjusted from 66 million baht to 68 million baht, on account of requiring new equipment to rectify the existing system. 2. Management Discussion and Analysis As of September 1999, all systems have been finished in the Implementation phase.The contingency plan has been already tested and proved the appropriateness during September 8-9, 1999. Therefore, the company is confident for the readiness of the approaching critical date; December 31, 1999 January 1, 2000. The actual expenditure is about 82% of the whole budget.
