REQUSTING FOR "H"

No. EGCO 310/278 Date May 31,2000 Attn: The President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject:Requesting for "H" Due to the fact that Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP) willconduct the final negotiation and signing Share Sale and Purchase Agreement on May 31, 2000 at 10.00 a.m. between EGCOMP and Siam City Cement Public Company Limited in order that EGCOMP shall purchase shares in Gulf Electric Public Company Limited (GEC) from SCCC. In this regards, when EGCOMP cannot conclude final negotiation and sign the agreement together with disclosure of the information to the SET before opening of market trading in this morning session, but rather do that at 10.00 a.m. which is in the trading period that may impacts to EGCOMP's share price and causes unfairness to the public investors.
