ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE PURCHASE OF SHARES IN GEC

No. EGCO 310/319 Date June 20, 2000 Attn : The President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject : Additional Information on the Purchase of Shares in Gulf Electric Public Company Limited According to Share Sale and Purchase Agreement between Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP) and Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC) on the date of May 31, 2000, EGCOMP shall purchase 87,500,000 shares or 50% stake in Gulf Electric Public Company Limited (GEC) from SCCC and the purchase transaction shall be occurred upon the fulfillment of the conditions precedent provided in the Share Sale and Purchase Agreement. Now, such conditions precedent provided in the Share Sale and Purchase Agreement has already been fulfilled and EGCOMP has planned to purchase the aforementioned shares by June 20, 2000.
