Clarification on the first quarter financial statements

No EGCO 110/173 Date: April 25, 2006 Attn: President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject: Clarification on the first quarter financial statements We refer to the news in Khao Hoon dated April 25, 2006 regarding the Q1 financial statements for the year 2006 of Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCOMP) which stated that EGCOMP's net profit would be 2,845 million baht, representing an increase of 101% as compared to Q4 financial statements of year 2005 and an increase of 247% as compared to the same period of year 2005 . EGCOMP would like to clarify that the Management of EGCOMP did not reveal any figure as stated in the news. The Q1 financial statements are under the auditing process by the company's auditor and will be reported to the SET within May 15, 2006. Please be informed accordingly.
