- Procure and install certain machine and equipment used in power plants, design, construct, and test the power plant (Onshore Construction Works). The services in relation to Onshore Construction Works are provided by Mitsubishi Corporation itself. With its long experience and technical expertise in constructing many types of power plants in many countries, the Mitsubishi Consortium was able to complete construction of the BLCP Power Plant Project in line with the construction schedule. Unit 1 of the BLCP Power Plant Project begins to sell electricity to EGAT since mid-August 2006, whereas Unit 2, currently under the construction, is expected to begin its operation according to the schedule. Moreover, after both units of the BLCP Power Plant Project are taken over by BLCP, the Mitsubishi Consortium is still responsible for making good any defect in or damage to any part of the facilities arising either from any defective materials, workmanship or design, or any act or omission of the Mitsubishi Consortium for the period of 5 years after each unit is taken over. The Mitsubishi Consortium will provide necessary repairing services for the Project.
