Electricity Generating Public Company Limited ("EGCO") would like to report that the Board of Directors in the Meeting No. 9/2007 held on December 17, 2007 has acknowledged that the Federation of Accounting Profession regulated a new accounting standard regarding the employee benefits in accordance with the International Accounting Standard (IAS) 19: Employee Benefits of which the effect should be from 2009 onwards. The Board then resolved to early adopt this new standard with effect from 2007 in order that the Group's financial statements would better reflect the true financial status and operating performance by indicating the Company's liabilities and expenses which EGCO Group has to pay in exchange for services rendered by employees.
